About

Background

Jorie grew up in a big family in the small town of Brockton, Massachusetts, where she began to play piano and write songs when she was just twelve years old. After high school, she studied songwriting at Berklee School of Music before moving to Los Angeles, where she quickly garnered industry attention. Through the strength of her material, she was able to land major management representation. Booked performances at the iconic venues along the Sunset strip led to the release of her first full-length CD, “Break Through”. Pop Singles “Why Do I” and “Everyone”, acquired thousands of streams and rotations and featured on more than 300 internet radio stations.

Jorie’s diversity as a writer and her “spin” on country music inspired “California Country” a collection of songs which would grant her an edge above stiff chart competition. “Old Guitar” and “A Man’s Mind” appeared on two national charts at number 19 on the Indie Country top 50, and number 23 on Christian Country top 100; surpassing releases by Norah Jones, Alison Krauss, Lyle Lovett and the Oak Ridge Boys.

Musical Sound

Leaning on the timeless lyrical influences of Don McClean, Carly Simon, Carol King and Paul Simon; Jorie’s storytelling and soulful writing style finds a comfortable home flowing through the genres of Country, Americana, Singer-Songwriter, and Folk. While admittedly, her process of song-crafting for artists other than herself is “a bit more fine-tuned in order to create a commercially viable song with broad appeal”.

Today

Jorie has welcomed a shift-of-focus from performing, to a hyper-focused writing schedule. The sound and musical feel of her latest material (fall 2022) is being compared to industry greats such as Billy Currington, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw and has already captured the attention of some of Nashville’s most prominent publishing houses.

From heartfelt piano driven singer/songwriter, to contemporary country, her love of storytelling is evident as her ability to convey emotion is present with each and every song.

Jorie lives in Orange County, California, where she writes, records, operates her own piano instruction business and volunteers her time as a teacher and musician.
